Phillip Conquest has had over thirty years experience in print and typesetting being apprenticed as a Hot Metal Compositor between 1968 and 1974.
Phil took his apprenticeship with White Crescent Press in Luton where he was given a solid grounding in Letterpress printing, Litho Printing and in Dufex (a process for printing 3d images on foil) as well as all aspects of Hot Metal composition.
When Phillip qualified as a Journeyman Compositor he moved to Milford Reprographics in Luton who were then at the forefront of the new "digital" age of printing and embarked on the brave new world of "Phototypesetting".
In 1982 "Kerrypress" was formed and run by Phillip, his brother-in-law Ian Craig and by David Newell who handled the sales side of the business.
In the 26 years that Kerrypress has been established, it has become a leading force in computerised typesetting working for Blue-Chip companies such as Lexis Nexis, Pearson Education, McGraw-Hill and the Office of National Statistics.
Phillip also has a comprehensive knowledge of computer system administration on Unix, Apple Macintosh and Windows platforms.
Through his involvement with Leadership Management UK Ltd Phillip now also uses his experience to help managers and leaders in business to improve their performance.
